Mr. Ike Nwankwo

Ike Nwankwo an independent Project, Programme and Portfolio Management consultant and CEO of Distinct Management Ltd, is a seasoned and motivated project management professional with 25+ extensive years of experience in the full life cycle management and implementation of multi-million, varied sized projects and programmes across diverse sectors within Europe and Africa.

He is a multi-skilled, multi-talented Project/Programme Management Consultant with a strategic focus and track record in leadership, business transformation and implementation through the application of project management and a strong focus on execution, backed up by a reputation for ‘getting the job done.’

He holds a BSc and an MSc in Architecture from the University of Nigeria and an MBA from Middlesex University Business School, London, England and is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner (Prince2) and a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).

He is the current Project Management Institute (PMI) Region Mentor for Africa, a past President and a current Director of the PMI, Nigeria Chapter. He is an active project management volunteer who has championed the formation of several project management bodies both off and online and is an active member of several project management bodies in Nigeria, UK, and USA.

His past roles and functions amongst many more others, include Projects Director at Kunoch Limited, where along with other major projects he oversaw the development and construction of a Protea Hotel In Owerri, Development Director at the Landmark Group, where he oversaw the development and construction of Landmark Towers, Landmark Event Centre and Hard Rock Cafe all in Lagos State, Special Advisor to Imo State Government on Projects and Head of the Bureau for Projects, Monitoring and Implementation, Technical Development Manager as SBT Africa, based in Johannesburg, Senior Project Manager at Transport for London, Senior Project Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Senior Programme & Relationship Manager at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Director, Technology Group at Causeway Technologies, to list a few.

He is extremely passionate about project management and dedicated to its advancement. He is driven by the achievement of results and providing value through the effective delivery of projects with project management principles.
